Day 51 - Half Marathon Training

Short and simply - 7 miles today!!!!

This is the longest I have ever run. I felt great. Even better than after my 5-miler on Thursday. I'm still getting a bit sore. I expect that with the colder weather and pushing my body to new distances.

This was a huge hurdle and milestone for me. I have officially reached the half way distance of a Half Marathon. I have always made myself think "If I can make it halfway up, then I can surely make it halfway back."

My right calf/ankle was going numb and so was my right arm from the elbow down to my wrist. I'm not sure if that's ok... It started around 4 miles. I've done that kind of distance before and never felt it.

Tomorrow is a cross training day and I'll figure out what I'm going to do later. Whatever fancies me then.

I like your comment, "Tomorrow is a cross training day and I'll figure out what I'm going to do later. Whatever fancies me then." Smart to live for today and listen to what your body wants to do later...I'm often too dedicated to a rigid schedule and should follow your footsteps.

hehe

I have so many DVDs and classes I can take that in order to get it done I need to just go with the flow at the moment. Otherwise I procrastinate.
